Issue #7 — Science
Firstly this week, we would like to congratulate the Raspberry Pi Team for completing the bike ride and raising over £725 and counting! You can still donate to the cause – all proceeds to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
At the weekend Ben represented the Raspberry Pi community at a big tech event in Lancashire – Barcamp Blackpool. Along with Jason Barnett, Simon Walters and Freaky Clown, he demonstrated a range of uses for the Pi and showcased a number of projects.
We have a feeling that we might be seeing a Raspberry Pi on TV this week – Dara O’Briain’s Science Club on BBC2 – featuring a weather station Ben built. Be sure to tune in on Thursday at 8pm!
Ryan has also announced that in collaboration with Alan O’Donohoe and the Raspberry Jam team that Rastrack.co.uk will be able to send out emails to you when a Raspberry Jam is in your area – read more.
See you next week!
